Woven Headbands

One of the many things I love to make are these fabulously addictive woven headbands. I can pick from my overabundance of ribbon and never come up with the same pattern twice. Which sometimes does cause a problem if someone requests a duplicate but it can be done. I am up for any challenge :)


It is almost like a mini weaving, just pick some colors and go at it, if I don't like it I start over. Some of the ones I love others never even comment on, the ones I don't care for just fly off of the shelf ;)

The only thing better than a woven headband is a woven headband with a flower or bow!

Oops I have fallen behind in keeping up with blogging, imagine that! I sit some days and think about what I am going to write I just don't make it to the keyboard. I really need to keep up so I do not lose what I want to do. I have so many many many ideas and I really don't want to lose them. Right now I have many hair pretty ideas in the works. I have made lots of beaded bobby pins in the past but I need to get tons more made and sold, keyword SOLD! I also have been making rag bows and my new to me rag clips. I have stuff cut out and ready I just need to assemble. My brain just explodes daily with new ideas I just don't have the time to execute, wow oh how I wish I had more time to play with the materials ;) I heard someone say the other day that when people are depressed they are more creative, I guess that would be me. I try so hard to not be depressed but I guess that is just me. So many things trouble my mind and I try to work it out but it seems to stay. I do know one thing if it weren't for praying I would be for sure a basket case. I just wish I could learn to let go of my troubles, just give them all to the Lord. I know and trust but just can't let go. Until I learn I will just keep on trucking along and creating. I hope all is well with you and yours! I hope to get pics up soon. Stay strong and God Bless!

No Wonder

No wonder I was feeling all grouchy and yucky the other day, I now have a wonderful head cold or something to that effect. I hate it! A sinus headache and congestion is not my idea of fun in the summer heat. What does a person do? Get sleep? Nope not me in this house with 3 kids. Just aggravating because I have NO energy to do anything that I need or want to do. I am constantly thinking of what I want to make next. At least I will never run of of ideas! If you want to see me make something that I haven't talked about drop me a note, I love to try new things!

A new day

This is the day that that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!

I keep telling myself this over and over today, trying to have a better outlook. I am tired, I hurt, and I am just plain wore out physically and mentally. Going to plug right along and be happy.

Off to fold some socks, file some papers then...ummmm make something crafty of course ;)

Goals, long term and short or however long it takes.

There are quite a few things that I really really want to make in the near future in the hair pretty department. I am going to post here so for one I can have it all in one place and two, maybe just maybe it will hold me accountable, go ahead and ask me if I get anything done, make me do it! I need to do what I can to help with funds around here and me making things with the resources I already have seems to be the best thing I can do right now. There will be no need at all to go buy anything at all, I have tons of supplies for many many projects!

I am so thankful that people share their talents so openly on the internet. I am really blessed that I can take an idea and make it my own, not trying to sound overly arrogant I just enjoy crafting, make sense? lol Oh I talk myself in a circle...weeeeeeeeee

Know what I was just thinking, I may not be any good at all in my crafts, but I sure do enjoy them!

Need to make up my mind!

Ok... So I have been thinking about what to blog. I see so many really neat blogs that stick to one topic, well, my brain can't as hard as I try lol. So as hard as I will try to stick to art or crafting or making cool and neat things I do believe I am going to wander and probably pretty far :)
Please do give me suggestions, I am so easy to get along with, I really am. I just need and I mean really need to do this blog thing to keep what sanity I do have left, yeap I do believe I may be a tad wacky, after all what creative person isn't, that's me!

I was going through my emails this morning and I belong to a couple of local freecycle groups. I don't really pay that much attention to the emails as I see way too may people begging for unnecessary items. I have given and I have received but today I saw a funny one, well funny to me. I am going to post it word for word, I hope I don't offend anyone but please, I just want to tell this person to go beg somewhere else!

lol my husband, Tom, said it has to be a joke, nope honey, people really do ask for those things! Me personally would never ever ever ask for anything like that, heck we don't even own half of that stuff! Oh well just thought it was funny. Ok, I will try for my next post to be on topic, creative and crafty!
